Young Professionals, ESVA Chamber offer $1,000 Scholarship for 2025 Graduates

The Young Professionals and the Eastern Shore of Virginia Chamber of Commerce Foundation are now accepting applications for the 2024-2025 Young Professionals Scholarship. A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to one graduating senior from an Eastern Shore of Virginia high school or home school program.

Eligible applicants must be set to graduate in spring 2025 and plan to continue their education at a college, university, or trade school beginning in fall 2025. To apply, students must submit a completed application form along with a one-page description of their post-high school plans, including their intended college and major. Additionally, applicants must submit a 1-2 page essay on one of two topics:

1. The challenges of starting a professional career on the Eastern Shore and how to prepare for them.
2. How growing up on the Eastern Shore has prepared them for life after high school, including the most valuable resources they have encountered.

The deadline for applications is April 11, 2025. Completed applications can be mailed to: Young Professionals 2024-2025 Scholarship, c/o Lynn Brankley, P.O. Box 303, Onley, VA 23418.
