The Wachapreague Volunteer Fireman’s Carnival opened for the 2025 season starting June 18th until July 5th, every Wednesday to Saturday from 7 P.M. to 10 P.M.
An annual event since 1952, the carnival raises money to support the Wachapreague Volunteer Fire Company.
The carnival features rides such as the Ferris Wheel, Tilt-A-Whirl, and Merry-Go-Round along with live bingo and foods such as fresh cut fries and local seafood sandwiches.
Local bands, such as Irie Tree Band who performed on June 20th, perform nightly and change depending on the date.
Wachapreague’s carnival is one of the two remaining Firemen’s Carnivals on the Eastern Shore and continues for their second week on June 25th.
