At approximately 5:34 p.m. Monday evening, February 24, 2025, the Virginia State Police responded to a single vehicle crash with injuries on Bayside Road, south of Bayford Road, in the Bayford area of Northampton County.
Once on scene, a 2023 Toyota Corolla with extensive damage was located off the roadway. Preliminary investigations reveal that the driver had been ejected from the vehicle and succumbed to his injuries.
Next of kin has been made for thirty-four year old Jered Lee Reno of the 11000 block of Gibbs Lane, Birdnest, Virginia.
State Police is still seeking assistance from the public for witnesses who may have seen Reno traveling prior to or after the crash on Bayford Road.
