Two New York women charged with passing counterfeit money in Northampton

Two New York women have been arrested in Northampton County after authorities say they attempted to pass counterfeit money at the Food Lion in Cape Charles.

According to Northampton County Sheriff David L. Doughty Jr., the Sheriff’s Office received a call on June 30, 2026, at approximately 6 p.m. reporting that two women were inside the store attempting to pass counterfeit currency.

When deputies arrived, they located the vehicle the suspects had been driving and determined the women were still inside Food Lion. Both were taken into custody when they exited the store.

Investigators determined the suspects had passed counterfeit $100 bills at several local businesses and were found in possession of several thousand dollars in counterfeit bills.

Kenyanna Sheivonie Cummings, 28, of Bronx, New York, was charged with 10 counts of felony forgery of a bank note, four counts of felony conspiracy to forge bank notes, one count of misdemeanor forgery of a bank note, one count of felony forging a public record, identity theft, reckless driving, and driving without a license.

Andrea Monique Walker, 34, of Brooklyn, New York, was charged with four counts of felony forgery of a bank note, five counts of felony conspiracy to forge bank notes, and one count of misdemeanor forgery of a bank note.

Cummings is being held without bond at the Eastern Shore Regional Jail. Walker is being held at the Eastern Shore Regional Jail on a $5,000 secured bond.
