There is another tropical disturbance that could follow generally the same track that Dorian followed last week is being monitored by the National Hurricane Center.

The disturbance is located over the Bahamas and may become a tropical storm sometime today. The European model, one of the more reliable computer models, has a tropical storm off of Cape Hatteras next Friday.

The northwest Bahamas has been warned to expect tropical storm conditions in the next day or two.

Eastern Shore residents should keep an eye on the storm over the next several days.   Computer models Friday morning show the storm taking a hard right turn off of the coast of Georgia  which wouldn’t affect our weather here with the exception of  rough surf and rip currents.
