A Jamesville man was sentenced Monday in Northampton Circuit Court to 10 years in prison for possession with intent to distribute cocaine last March.
Five years and a month of the term was suspended for 38-year-old Leshaun Terell Anderson, of James Wharf Road. He pleaded guilty to the charge in September. Anderson will be on supervised probation for two years after he is released.
In another case, 35-year-old Alex Julius Dewaal of Salisbury, Md., who previously lived in Melfa, pleaded guilty to felony credit card theft and misdemeanor credit card fraud in connection with incidents that occurred on May 29, 2021. He was sentenced to six years, all of which was suspended. A count of conspiracy to commit credit card fraud and two counts of misdemeanor credit card fraud were not prosecuted.
Thirty-two-year-old Scott Abraham, who is homeless, pleaded guilty to felony counts of stealing a credit card number and theft of a Michael Kors purse and an iPhone 14 valued at $1,000 or more. Abraham also pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges of entering or setting a vehicle in motion and two counts of credit card fraud. The offenses occurred on July 11, 2024.
A presentence report was ordered. Sentencing was set for March 3, 2025. According to court records, the defendant has 88 felonies on record with multiple probation and good behavior violations.
