Taylor Bank hosted its ribbon cutting ceremony in Cape Charles on Thursday, May 29th, at 4 P.M.
While it has been open and operating already, the ceremony marked its official opening to the town of Cape Charles.
The arrival of Taylor Bank brings community banking back to Cape Charles after the closure of NMA Federal Credit Union.
Dean Lewis, CEO and President of Taylor Bank, explained the decision to come to Cape Charles.
“We saw the demand on the lending side and usually we lead with lending and then follow with the branch,” he said.
Rick Keroglian, Town Manager of Cape Charles, sees the opening of Taylor Bank as a major addition to the Cape Charles community.
“I think that this is stability, for people who want to do banking here and there’s not many options,” he said. “And so, to have a bank here is incredible for locals and for those coming into town to be able to use a bank.”
The new branch of Taylor Bank in Cape Charles is located at 645 Mason Avenue.
