State flags to fly at half staff to honor Bloxom

Virginia will honor the late Robert S. Bloxom today by flying the state flag at half staff. 

Bloxom served in the Virginia House of Delegates from 1976 until 2004.  He also served as Virginia’s first Secretary of Agriculture. 

Bloxom was known for his service to the Eastern Shore serving on many boards of directors and active in civic groups as well.
