On Sunday, Onancock celebrates the 6th Annual O’Nancock St. Patrick’s Parade & Celtic Festival. It’s a day of fun and family-friendly activities.
The Festival is open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the grounds of Ker Place. There will be a variety of vendors, Highland Games demonstrations, entertainment and refreshment sales.
The Parade starts at 2 p.m. on Market Street with the theme “Shamrocks & Shillelaghs.” St. Patrick and his Color Guard, Pipe and Drum Corps, floats, and the characters Solar Sam, LED Lucy, Smoky Bear, and Darren the D.A.R.E. Lion will all be part of the parade. Don’t miss the Kilt Contest – an annual favorite.
The ShoreDailyNews.com community calendar page has full details on the parade.
The weather forecast is looking more promising. Rain is expected earlier in the day but should be mostly out of the way by the time the parade begins at 2 p.m. Should it be necessary WESR will have updates on the status of the festivities.
