Thanksgiving marks the start of the winter holiday season which provides a dedicated time to connect with loved ones, strengthen family bonds, foster a sense of community, share traditions, express gratitude, and generally experience joy and togetherness through shared meals, gift-giving, and festive activities. The holidays also serve as a time to reflect on the year past and look forward to the new one.
This weekend, blending the present with the past, we combine thoughts from our community members as they shared what they love about Christmas with sights from the performance of the Chincoteague Pony Drill Team followed by the lighting of the Christmas tree at Robert N. Reed waterfront park this past weekend.
