SHORE PERSPECTIVES: Scaring Up Frightening Fun in Bloxom

Get ready for a night of fright… There is a chilling outdoor experience in Bloxom that begins at the town square. After a short tractor ride, you are let off at the edge of the woods where you can hear blood curdling screams from people who ventured in before you. The path ahead is filled with scary witches, ghosts, ghouls and other monsters that exist in your worst nightmares. Be prepared to encounter all of them and more as you try to make your way through the woods and various buildings that have been lost to time. Whether that looming figure to your right is just a shadow or something more sinister, whether that rustle to the left of you was a squirrel or a stalker… who knows?

This week, Kelley visited Bloxom Volunteer Fire Company’s Halloween fundraiser, Nightmare Acres, and braved all the spooky specters and things that go bump in the night.

Bloxom’s Nightmare Acres will be open again at the Town Square October 25, 26 and 31. Each night, the frightful fun begins at 7:00, ticket sales stop at 10 p.m. General admission is available and, for the bravest souls, take the plunge with the Full Contact ticket.
