SHORE PERSPECTIVES: the Eastern Shore’s 1,000,000th visitor

Every day, more tourists than we realize are traveling through the Eastern Shore. This past week Linda Burnett, who was the millionth visitor to the Eastern Shore of Virginia Southern Gateway Welcome Center, along with family members, returned to enjoy their prize of an 8-day vacation package complete with tours, accommodations, activities and other gifts generously donated by tourism partners from one end of the Shore to the other.

More than their prize package, they discovered the beautiful nature of the Shore is reflected in all of the people who proudly call it home.
