Several Fire Companies Respond to Abandoned Structure Fire on Piggin Road

At approximately 7:20 Wednesday night units from Wachapreague, Painter, Exmore, Melfa, Onancock and Tasley responded to a report of a structure fire on Piggin Road.  Arriving first, units from Wachapreague reported the reportedly abandoned structure was fully involved.  Because of the nature of Piggin road, firefighters had to work to get the proper equipment in place to fight the blaze.   The structure was totally destroyed.
