Sentences handed down in Northampton Court

Several suspects were convicted and sentenced for drug offenses, theft, and fraud Monday in Northampton Circuit Court.

Twenty-nine-year-old Eddie Lionel Davila Jr., of Cobb Station Road in Cape Charles, was given 11 months of active time to serve for three drug offenses. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison each for two counts of possession with intent to distribute cocaine with all but 11 months suspended and five years with all but 11 months suspended for possessing a firearm while possessing more than a pound of marijuana with intent to distribute. He has already served two months in jail. The crimes occurred on Oct. 24, 2023.

Davila said, “I apologize for what I did…  I’m going to do better.”

His brother, 30-year-old Jessie Joel Davila, of the same address, was sentenced to 10 years with all but seven months suspended for possession with intent to distribute cocaine on Oct. 19, 2023. He will be on supervised probation for two years.

Twenty-one-year-old Ryikeem Kilim Victory, of Exmore, was sentenced to 10 years with all but three months suspended for using a vehicle without authorization on Aug. 31, 2021. He was given six months in jail with five months suspended for contributing to the delinquency of a minor, which is a misdemeanor. The minor was with him when the neighbor’s vehicle was stolen. Victory will be on supervised probation for two years after he is released. He was ordered to pay $2,500 in restitution.

     Forty-year-old Eric Mitchell Wells, of Forest Lane in Cape Charles, was given a total of three years and five months of active time to serve for two counts of credit card larceny, conspiring to commit credit card fraud, petty theft, four counts of entering a vehicle to commit a crime, and a count of misdemeanor credit card fraud. Wells will be on supervised probation for two years upon release. The crimes occurred on March 5, 2024.
