Second suspect in deadly Temperanceville shooting to be returned to Accomack County

The man arrested Monday in Maryland in connection with a shooting that left one person dead and five others injured at a nightspot in Temperanceville in April voluntarily waived extradition Tuesday in Worcester County District Court.

With that action, 28-year-old Terry Thomas Bragg Jr., known as Teezy or Teazy, can be returned to Accomack County to face April 19 charges of malicious shooting, shooting into an occupied building, possession of a firearm by a felon, and reckless handling of a firearm.

On April 24, Accomack Sheriff Todd Wessells said his investigators had identified Bragg as a suspect in the case through witness statements, community information, surveillance footage, and other unspecified means. Investigators requested assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service in locating Bragg on May 28. He was taken into custody without incident around 7 a.m. Monday, on Young Street, in Pocomoke City, authorities said.

Bragg was listed as being held without bond in the Worcester County Detention Center on Tuesday afternoon. Records state he has no clear address but was last known to live in the Norfolk area, and has ties to Coweta County, Georgia.

Thirty-four-year-old Skylor Depree Crippen, of Oak Hall, was arrested in connection with the same incident just after it occurred. He has been held in the Eastern Shore Regional Jail since April 20. Crippen, an HVAC technician, is charged with second-degree murder, two counts of attempted malicious assault of a rescue worker, and two counts of using a firearm in a threatening manner to commit a felony.

Thirty-year-old Direal Antwine Smith, a former resident of the Eastern Shore and father of three, died in the shooting after Crippen allegedly opened fire at Par 4 Bar & Grill on Lankford Highway. The other victims have not yet been identified. A video was sent to Shore Daily News and showed the business was busy when a fight broke out, and then shots could be seen and heard.
