The Pungoteague Ruritan Club recently presented $2,000 scholarships to Faith Johnson, Will Petka and Kate Dunkle.
The scholarships are based on academic achievement, extracurricular activities and volunteer work in the community.
Johnson, second from left, is the daughter of Blake and Martha Johnson and will be attending Virginia Tech, majoring in human nutrition, foods and exercise.
Pekta, third from left, is the son of Bill and Rhonda Petka and will be attending Virginia Tech, majoring in crop and soil science. Dunkle, unable to attend due to college orientation, is the daughter of Mark and Valerie Dunkle and will be attending the University of Virginia, majoring in architecture. All three recipients are graduates of Broadwater Academy.
