Saturday is the Last Day for Early Voting

If you still need to cast your ballot before next week’s primary election, time is running out.

Saturday, August 1, is the final day for early in-person voting ahead of Virginia’s August 4 Democratic and Republican primaries. Election officials are reminding voters that there will be no early voting on Monday, August 3, the day before the election.

Registered voters in Accomack and Northampton counties who want to vote before Election Day must do so by the close of early voting hours Saturday at their local early voting location.

Polls will reopen Tuesday, August 4, with voting taking place at each precinct from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m. Any voter in line by 7 p.m. will be allowed to cast a ballot.

The August 4 primaries will determine each party’s nominees for the Second Congressional District race and the U.S. Senate, with the winners advancing to the November general election.
