Rains provide measure of drought relief

Even after Wednesday’s rain the totals for 2024 for the Eastern Shore are still below normal but the approximately 2.5 inches that fell will certainly be welcome and help relieve some of the dry conditions that resulted in several brush fires over the last few weeks. 

The rain caused ponding and other road conditions that resulted in school delays this morning in both counties.

More rain is in the forecast this Sunday. Both the European and GFS models call for the rain later in the week.
