Discover Easton is pleased to announce Preston Automotive Group as the presenting sponsor of the inaugural Chesapeake Fire & Ice Festival, a three-day ice carving festival coming to downtown Easton February 14-16, 2020.
The Chesapeake Fire & Ice Festival will feature dozens of ice sculptures spread throughout Easton’s historic district. The Discover Easton Signature Event will kick off with a Friday night Ice Block Party on February 14. The celebration will feature live music, fire performances, entertainment, and the unveiling of the weekend’s ice sculptures with a self-guided tour and light display. A grand ice carving demonstration, sponsored by Preston Automotive Group, is the featured attraction during the Ice Block Party Friday evening, when 3,000 pounds of ice will be carved live into a spectacular work of art by the team of carvers from Ice Lab.
“My family taught me the value of a being a community partner and it is so important to us that it is a core value for the Preston Automotive Group,” Vice President and Chief Operating Officer David Wilson, Jr. said. “We are excited to partner with the inaugural Chesapeake Fire & Ice Festival and be a part of the history of downtown Easton.”
The weekend festivities will include family activities, complimentary events, entertainment, seasonal sales and shopping opportunities, restaurant specials, and more to be announced. It will also feature the Fire & Ice Stews ‘n Brews event in partnership with the Easton Volunteer Fire Department, and a Family Fun Center hosted by The Country School at the Waterfowl Building.

The carving team from Ice Lab will be in Easton on Saturday, November 9, during the 2019 Waterfowl Festival with a live carving demonstration 9 a.m. to noon. Preston Automotive Group presents the Waterfowl-themed ice sculpture and invites festival guests to stop by the Bullitt House Gardens (102 E. Dover Street) to watch the carvers in action, learn more about the Chesapeake Fire & Ice Festival, and preview the ice art that will be on display February 14-16, 2020. Learn more at
