Sometime Friday night or early Saturday morning vandals visited the monument in Parksley.
The vandals painted slogans, Black Lives Matter stencils and profanity on all four sides of the statue, as well as on several buildings in town and even the Parksley town sign. By noon, some citizens of the town had the graffiti removed from the statue.
The Parksley Police Department is investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call 757-665-4618.
