The Town of Parksley, Virginia, is celebrating the success of its annual “Stuff the Caboose” toy drive in partnership with the Eastern Shore Railway Museum. This year’s drive brought holiday cheer to more than 11 families in the local community, ensuring children in need had gifts to open during the festive season.
“It’s an honor and a pleasure to be able to provide for our town’s families,” said Parksley Mayor Frank Russell. The event encouraged residents to donate toys and volunteer their time to make the holiday season brighter for those less fortunate.
The town credits the generosity of its residents and volunteers for the toy drive’s success. From stuffed animals to board games and other holiday surprises, the outpouring of support demonstrated the strong sense of community in Parksley. “Thank you to everyone who contributed their time and toys,” the town shared in a statement of gratitude.
As the holidays approach, Parksley continues to embrace the spirit of giving. The success of the “Stuff the Caboose” initiative highlights the town’s commitment to bringing joy to local families, fostering a season filled with love and kindness.
