The new paint job for the A-4 Skyhawk jet displayed at the Accomack County Airport is complete.  A volunteer unit from the VFC squadron at Oceana completed the job last week.  The jet’s colors have been transformed to those of the squadron which plays the role of the enemy during training exercises.  The jet has been transformed to look like a Russian jet.   Petty officer McClure of the VFC squadron said that the Navy wants the jets to look like what the pilots would see during an encounter.

The public is invited to view the newly painted A-4 at the airport at any time.
