An overturned concrete truck blocked Route 316 between Parksley and Hopeton on Monday.
According to 911 reports, the accident was reported at 11:15 a.m.
Units from the Parksley and Bloxom volunteer fire companies responded, along with Virginia State Police and VDOT.
The driver of the truck was not injured.
Traffic was rerouted around the scene for more than three hours. Route 316 reopened at 2:40 p.m.
