Indictments for assault and battery of two police officers, alleging a Bloxom man as the culprit, were dismissed Thursday in Accomack Circuit Court.
Forty-year-old Robert Earl Buckner Jr., of Clam Road, pleaded not guilty to the offenses. He was initially charged with felony counts of assaulting Sgt. J. Sharp and Cpl. S. Henning, of the Accomack County Sheriff’s Office. The offenses were alleged to have occurred on March 29, 2025.
Judge Lynwood W. Lewis Jr. convicted Buckner of a third offense — a misdemeanor count of obstruction by threat or force.
In another case, 40-year-old Sebastian Baltazar Baltazar, of Sanna Square in Bloxom, pleaded guilty to felony counts of attempting to unlawfully wound Henry Vasquez Perez with a machete and destruction of more than $1,000 worth of property belonging to Bryan Lopez Castellanos on April 14.
Twenty-two-year-old Jaheem Hassan Snead, of Shawnee Avenue in Salisbury, Md., pleaded guilty to felony counts of illegally wearing a mask to conceal his identity, unauthorized dissemination of an image, and harassment by computer. The incidents occurred last April.
