The Onancock Planning Commission will host a citizens’ workshop on Monday, November 3, 2025, from 6 to 8 p.m. at L’vona’s Special Venue, 165 Market Street (Peninsula Center), to gather public ideas and priorities for a revised Comprehensive Plan. Residents and in-town business owners are invited to share concerns, experiences, and suggestions about the future of the town and their neighborhoods.
Light refreshments will be served, though attendees are encouraged to eat supper beforehand. For those unable to attend, additional opportunities to meet with Planning Commission members will be scheduled throughout November. To be notified about those gatherings, contact Planning Commission Chair Kasey Grier at [email protected].
Comprehensive plans are required under Virginia law and must be updated on a regular cycle. Onancock’s current plan is available on the town website. The Commission emphasized that community input will guide the update and that “we don’t have a lock on good ideas,” encouraging broad participation.
