The Onancock Rotary Club made cash contributions to several local charitable organizations at their regular meeting Tuesday morning at the Sage Diner in Onley. A total of $7,350 was donated to Eastern Shore Christian Academy, The Food Bank, Occohannock on the Bay, the local Alzheimer’s Association, the Eastern Shore Literacy Council and the YMCA.
The Onancock Rotary Club also provides college scholarship money to chosen applicants during the year. The Club meets weekly at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesdays at the Sage Restaurant in Onley. Anyone interested in participating in the Rotary Club’s community support efforts is welcome to attend a meeting and find out what the Rotary does for the citizens of the Eastern Shore.
