The Onancock Elks Lodge held its annual scholarship dinner in May to recognize the recipients of its 2026 scholarship awards.
Lodge 1766 awards $1,000 scholarships to students from each high school on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, as well as Holly Grove Christian School in Westover, Maryland, for a Virginia resident.
The lodge also presents a $1,000 scholarship to a student athlete on the Eastern Shore in memory of longtime coach Tommy Northam.
This year’s recipient of the Thomas C. Northam Memorial Scholarship was Cohen Kellam of Broadwater Academy. The recipient was selected by the Northam family.
The lodge scholarship recipients were Ryleigh Green of Chincoteague High School, Gavin Ricci of Northampton High School, , Noah Rudmin of Broadwater Academy, Jsai Foster of Nandua High School, Ja’Khan’di Tull of Arcadia High School and Reagan Bailey of Holly Grove Christian School.
