EXMORE: Experience the warmth and magic of Christmas as the 3rd Annual Old- Fashioned Christmas in Exmore returns to downtown Main Street, Thursday, December 5, from 5 pm to 7:30 pm.
Hosted by Exmore’s business community, this is an evening of relaxed after hours shopping in a festive atmosphere of twinkling lights, beautifully decorated shops, and storefronts, a 14-foot Christmas tree on the Plaza, music, and Santa sightings.
The shops are overflowing with specialty holiday items, thoughtfully priced for the gift-giving season. Visitors can expect unannounced specials, a few surprises, giveaways—and more.
“We are excited to once again showcase Exmore during this festive season” said Exmore Mayor Doug Greer. “Even as our downtown grows and becomes more vibrant, it retains the traditional hometown appeal that has always been the hallmark of our community.”
Participating shops include Country Way Mercantile, The Exmore Emporium/Main Street Jewelry & Gifts, The Sea Witch ESVA, Shore Antiques & More, Primitives & More, Clocks ‘n Stuff, Exmore Diner, Kookie Momster, and Hangin with Wild Roots. Artists Katie Williams and Melanie Widgeon Lewis will be hosting an Art Exhibition in the reception area of Wild Roots, 3316 Main Street.
“An Old-Fashioned Christmas in Exmore” is presented in tandem with New Ravenna’s Annual Holiday Artisan Faire, an expansive display of art and handcrafted items covering two floors of the New Ravenna building on Broad Street, which runs parallel to Main Street.
The evening also sets the stage for Exmore’s Annual Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 14. Hosted by Exmore’s Community Fire Department, this much anticipated event begins at 6 pm on Main Street.
There’s plenty of free parking for all activities, with easy access to participating venues. Plan to come and enjoy. For more information, follow the Town of Exmore on Facebook, visit www.exmore.org or email [email protected].
