The National Weather Service is warning foggy conditions have developed along the Atlantic shoreline, impacting visibility in parts of Accomack County, Virginia, and Worcester County, Maryland due to onshore flow from the ocean.
Visibility is averaging around one-half mile, with localized reductions to one-quarter mile, particularly near coastal areas from Ocean City, Maryland, to Wallops Island, Virginia. Conditions are expected to gradually improve after 8 a.m.
Motorists are urged to exercise caution, as dense fog can cause sudden changes in visibility. Drivers should reduce speeds, use low-beam headlights, and remain alert for changing conditions while traveling through fog-affected areas.
