A Melfa man was sentenced Monday in Northampton Circuit Court to a year of active time in prison.
Thirty-one-year-old Devonte Leshawn Davis, of Airport Drive in Melfa, was given five years with four suspended for credit card larceny that occurred in June of 2021 and 12 months in jail for misdemeanor credit card fraud. The terms were set to run concurrently. He was ordered to pay about $264 in restitution.
Davis still faces charges in Accomack. He was indicted on counts of possession with intent to distribute cocaine, fentanyl, and between an ounce and five pounds of marijuana on Jan. 12. Those cases are set for trial in October in Accomack Circuit Court.
Twenty-five-year-old Michael Douglas Moore, of Forest Lane of Cape Charles, pleaded guilty to felony and misdemeanor counts of stealing a credit card number and conspiracy to commit credit card fraud on March 5. Sentencing was set for Nov. 18
Forty-three-year-old Antwine Alvin Tazewell, of Cheriton, pleaded guilty Monday to an April 2021 charge of obtaining more than $1,000 by false pretense. He was given a five-year prison term with all but time served suspended. Tazewell will be on supervised probation for two years.
Forty-nine-year-old Terrence Cornelius Washington, of Sixth Street in Exmore, pleaded guilty to a Jan. 3, 2024 count of distribution of cocaine. Two other charges of cocaine distribution were not prosecuted.Sentencing was set for January 2025.
