The Northampton County Board of Supervisors approved a major special use permit for a ‘backyard rustic campground’ on Bayview Circle in Cheriton.
The applicant, Jason Hahn, sought approval for four permanent units in his backyard: two RVs and two canvas tents. Steve Rowe, representing Hahn, said the site would also include a communal dome, commercial propane fire pits, and two portable toilets to be serviced by Moore’s Portable Solutions. The plan received 10 letters of support from neighbors and nearby businesses.
The Planning Commission recommended approval of the project, and the Board of Supervisors voted unanimously in favor.
