New playground sets unveiled at Occohannock and Kiptopeke Elementary Schools

Northampton County Public Schools (NCPS) held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of new playground sets at both Occohannock Elementary School and Kiptopeke Elementary School last week. These playgrounds, designed to encourage active play and healthy lifestyles, offer students vibrant spaces for recreation, socialization, and exploration during recess and physical education classes.

The state-of-the-art playgrounds feature a variety of elements, including slides, climbing structures, and interactive activity panels, all aimed at enhancing motor skills, coordination, and teamwork.

This project was made possible through the generous support of the Northampton County Education Foundation (NCEF), ABM Industries, the KES PTA, the NCPS School Board, and local community members. Their financial backing and commitment to student well-being have been crucial in bringing these playgrounds to fruition.

NCPS also extends its gratitude to the skilled builders and contractors at The Playground Specialists. Their dedication and hard work have been instrumental in realizing this vision for the students.
