Nassawadox gives vehicle tax license revenue and responsibility to Northampton

The town of Nassawadox will no longer collect vehicle tax revenues.

Citing having no staff to conduct the billing and collection, Nassawadox offered the revenues and responsibilities to Northampton County.

The Northampton County Board of Supervisors approved the move at their Board meeting Tuesday night. Commissioner of Revenue Charlene Gray said she felt her staff could handle the task.

The additional revenue for the County is expected to be minimal.
