Multiple fire units respond to fire on Hacks Neck Road

At approximately 2:14 p.m. a residential structure fire was reported at 12245 Hacks Neck Road near Harborton.  Units from Melfa, Painter, Wachapreague, Exmore, Onancock and Parksley were called to the scene.  Upon arrival they found that the two story residence was fully involved.  There were reports of possible entrapment as well.   The State Police was   called to the scene to investigate. It is not yet determined if there was anyone trapped in the burning structure.

Units began returning to service just after 4:00 P.M.  Four Virginia State Police investigators were en route to the scene at that time.

At 8:35 p.m. units from Melfa and Painter were recalled to the scene as the fire reportedly rekindled.
