Acccording to a post on the Eastville Vol. Fire Company website, stations 17(Eastville VFC), 14 (Cheriton VFC) and NCEMS were alerted for a Accident Unknown Injury at 20094 Seaside Rd./Cobbs Station Rd., Cheriton Sunday.
Units arrived on scene and found a motorcycle and a deer and a search was started to find the victim.
Chief 17 Frisby arrived and established command. NCSO ran the tags and identified the owner. The motorcycle and deer were both cold to touch, it was determined that this accident had not just happened.
The owner of the motorcycle was contacted by phone and the rider was back home and no medical attention was needed. Command was terminated and all units returned to stations.
