After a half inch to an inch of rain early Monday, it looks like we may be in store for as much as an inch more overnight tonight.
The National Weather Service is calling for rain beginning tonight and extending into the morning on Friday. Some areas could receive as much as an inch which would add up to two inches for the week. Accomack County received only .32 inches of rain for the entire month of October, with no measurable rain fall in Northampton.
It is hoped that additional rain will help relieve the drought that has resulted from a dry fall season.
A burn ban is in effect in both Counties.
