A Maryland man pleaded guilty Thursday in Accomack Circuit Court to six charges involving crimes against his former employer, Eastern Shore Marine, of New Church.
Jerold Scott Ryan, of Old Ocean City Road in Parsonsburg, admitted that he forged about $4,500 in checks belonging to the Marva Road company, stole from there and twice broke into the business in January 2025.
Another forgery indictment and two counts of grand larceny weren’t prosecuted. Evidence showed there was about $500 worth of damage to the building and that he was seen on surveillance video during two of the crimes.
A presentence report was ordered. Sentencing was set for Oct. 16.
