It’s a busy holiday weekend across the Eastern Shore as towns gear up for a full lineup of Christmas events.

We start in Cape Charles, where Festive Friday continues—a long-running tradition turning the downtown into a winter wonderland. Each Friday evening through December, the streets light up with music, parades, and visits from Santa and Mrs. Claus. Families can enjoy free train rides, a petting zoo, children’s crafts, street performers, balloon art, and caricatures. Classic holiday movies will be shown throughout the evening, and shops will stay open for last-minute gifts and seasonal treats. All activities are free, thanks to Cape Charles Main Street and community volunteers.

This Friday, December 12, Ker Place in Onancock hosts a Holiday Dinner at 6 p.m., and it’s also the monthly Second Friday Art Stroll.

Saturday is packed with events across the Shore.

Santa will be stopping by Bojangles in Onley for a visit on December the 13th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.. Bring the whole family for a cheerful holiday moment. Kids can chat with Santa, snap a pic, and pick up a candy cane on their way out. There will be holiday music, smiles, and festive fun.

In Onancock, Santa makes a special arrival by boat at the town wharf at 11 a.m., accompanied by kayak “reindeer,” with music from the Accomack Community Band.

The Holiday Artisan Market at Historic Onancock School runs from 10 to 3, and the Breakfast with Elves at North Street Playhouse goes from 10 to 1.

The Christmas Homes Tour happens from 1 to 5 p.m., with tickets on Eventbrite or at Ker Place and the Historic School.

The Cokesbury Music Festival runs from 2 to 4 p.m., featuring performances by the Orchestra of the Eastern Shore, the Circle of Friends vocal group, and pianist Natasha Smoot.

Most events in Onancock include a holiday food-drive component.

On Sunday, the Roseland Theater will show a free holiday movie, The Grinch, at 2:30 p.m., followed by the Onancock Christmas Parade at 5 p.m., with food-drop stations along the route.

Meanwhile, Parksley hosts its Old-Fashioned Christmas Celebration Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Town Pavilion and the Eastern Shore Railway Museum. Families can enjoy s’mores, popcorn, apple cider, kids’ crafts, Christmas music, and cocoa served inside the historic train dining car—plus Santa arriving by fire truck. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

And in Exmore, the annual Christmas Parade steps off Saturday night at 6 p.m. in the downtown district.

The Cape Charles Fire Department’s Annual Tool Mania fundraiser will take place from 3:00PM – 9:00 PM Saturday evening.

With so many celebrations across the Shore, there’s no shortage of ways to enjoy the season. But that’s not all. You see all the details at the ShoreDailyNews.com Community Calendar Page.
