A Parksley man was indicted by an Accomack Grand Jury earlier this week of malicious wounding for allegedly striking his wife in the head with his cell phone on Jan. 15 and giving her a concussion.
Forty-three-year-old Thomas Anthony Gallardo, of Parks Road, is being held in Accomack Jail without bond. The victim was Sarah Daisey. According to court records, Deputy A. Clark responded to the local hospital and was told Gallardo struck Daisey three times. The nurse there advised the officer that the woman had a concussion and needed staples for the injury.
Twenty-six-year-old Jacob Barnes, of Main Street in Hallwood, was indicted on a count of assault and battery of Deputy W. Solorzano on Dec. 12, 2024.
Thirty-seven-year-old Jerold Scott Ryan, of Old Ocean City Road in Parsonsburg, Md., was indicted on nine charges involving his former employer, Eastern Shore Marine, of Marva Road in New Church in January. Ryan was indicted on four counts of stealing more than $1,000 belonging to the business, forging three checks for a total of nearly $3,900, two counts of burglary and a count of uttering a check.
According to court records, the suspect admitted to the crimes. He said he relapsed after being clean of cocaine for nine months.
Thirty-seven-year-old Joshua Seth Powell, of Savageville Road near Onancock, was indicted on a count of being a felon in possession of a firearm and two counts of stealing a gun belonging to Robert Powell on Nov. 20, 2024. He was arrested the same day. The firearms were taken from a garage on Trower Road in Wachapreague.
Fifty-nine-year-old Gordon Michael Garris, of Bobtown Road in Pungoteague, was indicted on a count of receiving or buying stolen goods valued at more than $1,000 on Oct. 31, 2024. Garris was arrested Nov. 1.
Thirty-four-year-old Asia Renee Woolford, of New Church, was indicted on a count of burglary at Alysen Ford’s house and destruction of property worth $1,000 or more that belonged to the woman. The crimes occurred on Jan. 10, 2025. Woolford is being held in Accomack Jail.
Twenty-nine-year-old Stacey Lynne Mumford and 36-year-old Antonio Orlando Flores, of Seaside Road in Parksley, were indicted on counts of burglary at the home of Kevin Lewis Thomas in Onley on Jan. 2, 2025.
Thirty-four-year-old Joseph Taylor Young, of Sherwood Drive in Parksley, and 38-year-old Jonathan Gene Mears, of Silas Court in Nassawadox, were indicted on counts of destroying or defacing chicken houses belonging to Benny F. Hall Sr. last October. Mears was also indicted on a count of stealing property belonging to Billy Moore worth more than $1,000.
Fifty-six-year-old Ronald Androne Fosque, of Church Road in Accomac, was indicted on a count of breaking into the home of Grover Wessells, on Jan. 27, 2025. He was arrested the next day.
Fifty-eight-year-old Robert Lee Wise, of Payne Road in Bloxom, was indicted on a count of embezzling more than $1,000 belonging to Laws Transport LLC between April 2, and June 20, 2024. He was arrested on Dec. 11, 2024.
