Man Acquitted of Taking Car in Northampton

A Northampton Circuit Court jury acquitted an Exmore man Wednesday of a felony charge of using a vehicle without permission.

Twenty-five-year-old Joshua Hunter Smith, of Seaside Road, was found not guilty of unauthorized use of a 2006 Ford Expedition on Jan. 19, 2025. The vehicle was valued at more than $1,000 and belonged to Keneisha Spady.

Defense lawyer Jon E. Thornbrugh represented Smith.
