Major Robertson Doughty Scholarship given to four local students

The Major Robertson Doughty Scholarship has been providing support for Eastern Shore students for 39 years. It was created by Dr. William H. Turner to honor the memory of a high school classmate who died in an automobile accident. The scholarship has provided more than $120,000 to Eastern Shore students. Dr. William H. Turner, pictured at center, had the pleasure to provide $4,000  to each of this year’s students. From left to right are scholarship recipients Jason Ye, Angel Bailey, Kallie Williams and Connor Lee.
