Local church collecting North Carolina relief supplies

The Powelton Presbyterian Church in Wachapreague is partnering with the Hearts and Hands group in Swannanoa and Ashville North Carolina to provide relief for victims of hurricane Helene.  Also are involved are Delegate Robert Bloxom, Vernon Bell and Fred Janci, both of Wachapreague.

Items can be dropped off between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.  at 24227 Greenbush Road now through Saturday or you can call Fred at 603-359-5806.  Collections will end Saturday  October 26.

Items being collected are  Non perishable food items,  cleaning supplies, baby supplies, bedding,  clothing limited to underwear and socks,  paper supplies,  pet food both dry and canned, hygiene kits,  and medical supplies.

All items need to be new and in their original packaging.
