Lankford Highway closed due to accident Wednesday Morning

Both lanes of Rt 13 were blocked for a time beginning at 7:40 a.m. due to a single car accident near Don Valerios near Cheriton. 

Unofficial reports are that a single car struck a power pole.  ANEC was called to the scene.  Cheriton, Cape Charles and Eastville are on scene.

Traffic was rerouted while emergency crews cleaned up the scene.
