Congresswoman Jen Kiggans will present checks to two local entities Today.
Earlier this year, Congresswoman Kiggans secured $1,250,000 in federal funding for the Hampton Roads Sanitation District’s (HRSD) Onancock treatment facility in the FY24 Appropriations bill. The funding will go towards plant renovation in Chincoteague.
Additionally, she secured $286,000 in federal funding for the Eastern Shore of Virginia Broadband Authority (ESVBA) in the FY24 Appropriations bill. This funding will go towards the construction of fiber optic cables across several remote areas of the Shore.
On Monday, August 5, at 11 AM, she will be visiting the HRSD Onancock treatment facility for a check presentation and tour of the facility. It is expected to wrap up by 12 PM. The address for this event is 23656 North Street, Onancock, VA 23417.
After, she will visit ESVBA at 1 PM for a check presentation and walking touring of the facility. This event is expected to wrap up by 2 PM. The address for this event is 4174 Lankford Hwy, Exmore, VA 23350.
