Indictments alleging malicious wounding, theft, sexual abuse, and felony drug possession were brought by a Northampton Grand Jury this week.
Sixty-one-year-old Ronald E. Rowley, of Frederick Douglas Road in Exmore, was indicted on a July 14 count of maliciously wounding Purnell Mason Sr. The victim told an officer that “he was at a party earlier” in the evening and “had gotten into a fight with … Rowley.” When the fight was over, “he realized that he was bleeding from his chest” and was taken to the hospital.
Forty-two-year-old Rony Alexis Martinez Rivera, of Trailer Circle in Cape Charles, was indicted on a January 21 count of aggravated sexual battery by force. The victim was a 14-year-old girl.
Thirty-seven-year-old Dontrell C. Trader, of Shields Bridge Road in Belle Haven, was indicted on a Feb. 24 count of stealing $1,000 or more belonging to PSSI Sanitation. He was arrested about five days later.
Thirty-six-year-old Shannon Marie Thornton, of Saxis Road in Temperanceville, was indicted on a May 7 count of possession of a Schedule I or II drug. She was arrested on May 14.
Thirty-two-year-old Scott Abraham, who was listed as homeless, was indicted on a July 11 count of illegally obtaining a credit card number and stealing a purse and an iPhone valued at more than $1,000. According to court records, Abraham has 88 felonies on his record and multiple probation violations. “The defendant was remorseful,” the record noted.
Twenty-two-year-old Khori Brooks Davis, of KMC Lane in Cheriton, was indicted on a Nov. 30, 2023 count of using a vehicle without the owner’s consent. The vehicle was valued at more than $1,000 and belonged to Nicole Davis. The defendant was arrested the next day.
Twenty-seven-year-old Joshua Montrail Bailey, of Mappsburg Road in Painter, was indicted on a December 2022 count of damaging a catalytic converter or other vehicle parts belonging to Northampton County Public Schools. He was arrested in July 2023. He was also indicted on a March 2024 count of escaping from jail by force.
Fifty-two-year-old David Frank Harris, of Rue Court in Exmore, was indicted on a March 18 count of uttering a check that he knew was forged.
Fifty-four-year-old Gary John Black, of Oklahoma City, OK., was indicted on a May 23 count of receiving a stolen 2011 Silver Chevy pickup valued at more than $1,000.
