Dead menhaden covered the northern end of Quinby Harbor Thursday.

It is possible that the unusually warm water may have taken a toll on the fish causing the relatively small fish kill from lack of oxygen.

There have been no reports that any commercial fishing operation had anything to do with the fish kill.

Crews worked Thursday afternoon to clean up the fish which littered the waters in the Harbor.
