Heat Advisory for today

The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for today, in effect from 11 AM until 8:00 PM this evening.

Heat index values of 102 are possible in Accomack and Northampton Counties, with values as high as 105 to 109 in Maryland.

Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. Be sure to drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air conditioned room, avoid the sun and check up on relatives and neighbors.
