Governor Abigail Spanberger has appointed three Eastern Shore farmers to serve on state agriculture boards.
The Governor announced Thursday that Logan Holland of W.T. Holland and Sons in Miona has been appointed to the Virginia Corn Board.
Kyle Sturgis of Sturgis Family Farms in Eastville and Mark Hickman of Dublin Farms in Horntown were appointed to the Virginia Potato Board.
In announcing the appointments, Spanberger said the new board members share her commitment to serving Virginians and will help strengthen communities, support the Commonwealth’s agricultural economy, and improve services across the state.
The appointments give the Eastern Shore representation on two important agricultural boards that help guide Virginia’s corn and potato industries.
