Former CBBT Lieutenant charged with two felonies

A former lieutenant for the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel Police has been charged with two felonies stemming from an incident earlier this month in Cape Charles.

Records filed Monday in the Northampton General District Court show that 59-year-old Hollis Augustus Brickhouse was arrested on Aug. 8 and charged with malicious assault with injury and failure to stop for a traffic accident with injury. Brickhouse was also charged with a misdemeanor traffic offense.

The incidents are alleged to have occurred on Aug. 2. Brickhouse is free on an unspecified bond. A hearing was scheduled for Sept. 25. According to reports. Officer Juana Diaz investigated.
