Firefighters from Onancock, Tasley, Melfa, Parksley ,Painter and the Department of Public Safety responded to a fire in Savageville Thursday at approximately 12:12 p.m.
A two-story home was undergoing renovations and currently vacant, was destroyed by fire Thursday afternoon. The blaze prompted a significant response from local fire departments and led to a “defensive” opation after an interior collapse made the structure unsafe for firefighters.
There were no fatalities but two firefighters were transported to the hospital with minor injuries,
